   Make Some Noise is the Children’s Ministry program as Lansing First Church of the Nazarene. This program is focused on reaching children ages 4-12 with the life changing message of God Word. On Wednesday Nights, this program allows children to learn through various “ministry moments”. A variety of activities (craft, songs, games, lesson, etc.) surrounding a central theme (lesson) are presented each night in rotation style learning system. At the end of each night, children are challenged to commit to an action step based on that day’s lesson.

 

   God has grown this program since it started in September 2013. Over fifty children have come into the program and one child made the decision to trust Jesus as her Savior last year. Children learn a new truth from God’s Word every week and are challenged to do something with that knowledge as they depend on God’s Spirit to guide them into all truth.

 

 The Make Some Joy program is an extension of the Make Some Noise program. This program meets during the worship hour each Sunday. In Make Some Joy, children are encouraged to pray not only for themselves, but for one another. The children take notes on the lesson and share what they learned with their teacher and fellow students at the end of each lesson. This is a powerful program for children ages 4-12 as it prepares them to be able to study God’s Word for themselves and be effective listeners.
